Chiropractic Adjustments

After an initial consultation, your chiropractor combines clinical expertise with the most relevant evidence to reach a diagnosis and tailor treatment to you. The most common technique is manual manipulation of the spine — often called an "adjustment" — where controlled force guides a joint through its range of motion to restore healthy movement and function.

When applied to the spine this is known as spinal manipulation therapy (SMT), and the same approach can treat other joints including the wrist, ankle, and foot. Prefer something gentler? Dr. Shore also offers the low-force Activator Method, a precise instrument-assisted alternative to manual adjustment.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy delivers acoustic energy pulses through the skin to an injured area. It has been shown to stimulate tissue regeneration, increase blood-vessel growth, reduce pain sensitivity, and break down scar tissue — a fast, safe, non-invasive option for chronic conditions that haven’t resolved on their own.

Treatment is typically once a week for 3–6 weeks, depending on your case. Because the healing effect is cumulative, most patients keep improving for 3 to 6 months after their final session.

  • Non-invasive
  • No downtime
  • Cumulative, lasting results

Shockwave commonly helps with:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Tennis & golfer’s elbow
  • Jumper’s knee (patellar tendonitis)
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Calcific rotator cuff tendonitis
  • Hamstring & connective-tissue injuries
  • Greater trochanteric pain / bursitis
  • Heel spurs & shin splints
